World Heritage Glacier trek

An exceptional glacier trek in the Bernese Oberland Alps close to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, led by a UIAGM guide. Starting in the traditional mountain village of Kandersteg, this trip crosses dramatic glaciers through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Swiss Alps, staying in catered mountain refuges.

Walking between 5 and 7 hours a day, we travel through spectacular terrain dominated by mountain giants crossing both wet and dry glaciers, carrying personal gear but no sleeping bags. A highlight is a ride on the Jungfrau railway from Kleine Scheidegg through the Eiger tunnel to Eigerwand and Jungfraujoch (3454m). From here we set off across the Aletch Glacier to the Konkordia and Finsteraar mountain refuges with the chance of a finale on Oberaarhorn (3631m). No previous experience of glacier travel is needed.

What our clients say…

“Just a short note from Kate and myself to say thank you for an outstanding trip. It was more than we imagined. Daniel (our guide) was instrumental in providing the best trek we have ever been on - we have trekked in the Himalayas and South America as well as extensively walked in the UK for years.’
